At the mention of the words "Salt Mesa" most of Galthos' inhabitants would cringe and run for something to quench a sudden thirst. The place is a mesa roughly the size of the United States back on earth. The ground is covered in salt and the element permeates the air, killing most anything that attempts to remain there for more than a few days. The salt actually pulls the moisture out of the body, accelerating the dehydration process exponentially, and killing most living things quite quickly. If one were to venture there, he would need gallons of pure, sealed water and a very efficient breathing mask. This wretched place is not for the faint of heart.
